GPT Queens & Collins | Melbourne

Challenging all expectations of the traditional workplace.

Location: Melbourne | Size: 4,638m²

Aspect recently supplied a full range of workplace furniture for four levels of Melbourne’s latest workplace destination – Queens & Collins. Labelled a ‘city within a city’, Queens & Collins is a multi-faceted hub where lettable offices merge with retail, dining and public spaces.

The new working precinct occupies three heritage buildings and is located on one of Melbourne’s most high-profile corners.

Each building has its own identity with different colour palettes and finishes, but all reference the site’s heritage by paying homage to the gothic architecture of the original buildings.

Designed for like-minded businesses and individuals, GPT Group has developed a working neighbourhood for the next generation of workplace culture. Made with an eye to the future, the workspaces have been built to drive productivity and promote connection.

Aspect were first engaged for the fit-out of the ‘Mezzanine’ on levels one and two. The Mezzanine consists of bookable meeting rooms and hybrid spaces that enable flexible working and collaboration. Working closely with the architects, BVN, Aspect developed a furniture package which included both fixed and sit-to-stand workstations, task seating and storage.

The design concept behind these floors was an “anti-corporate” space, with the aim of fostering a relaxed culture in the heart of the precinct.

Our successful execution of the Mezzanine led us to extend our offering with GPT Group, with consecutive floors now hosting a range of products from Aspect including Sector 2, Agility tables, and Smartalock. Our partnership with GPT has seen us deliver 10 projects to date with another 4 floors in production – a testament to Aspect’s ability to work alongside clients to achieve their workplace aspirations.

Sector 2 in both table and leaner format are used throughout ‘The Clubhouse’ in various shapes and sizes. Sector 2 maximises flexibility by offering casual places to meet or a plug-and-play area to work.
