Aligning with future ways of working.

Location: Auckland | Size: 2,500m²

Following a comprehensive six-month refurbishment programme, the iconic Henderson Civic building has reopened its doors to staff and the public. The 2500m2 facility is a core space for Tāmaki Makaurau’s community and is home to Auckland Council, Henderson Customer Service Centre, Henderson-Massey Local Board and Te Kawerau a Maki.

The building lies at the heart of the community and provides a space for people to connect, meet, and celebrate – with the premises also open to the public for ceremonies, meetings and functions.

Aspect was engaged to assist Auckland Council on their WorkSmart initiative, a programme designed to align the Council’s future ways of working and workplaces to suit the evolving context in which the Council operates. It supports their people to work in more efficient and effective ways from a modern network of spaces and furniture across Tāmaki Makaurau.

Alongside 4Work, Aspect collaborated with the client to deliver the project within a 10-week time frame. Aspect supplied a range of high-performing and flexible furniture solutions to meet the brief. This included workstations, meeting pods, phone booths and a number of collaborative seating arrangements.
