Aurecon | Auckland

A blend of culture, innovation and environmental stewardship.

Location: Auckland | Size: 3,200m²

Aspect recently had the privilege of providing furniture for design, engineering and advisory company, Aurecon, at their new home – Te Tihi. Designed by Warren and Mahoney architects, the new workplace represents a culmination of efforts from their Indigenous Design Unit, Aurecon’s He Rautaki Māori rōpū, local iwi and Te Aroha Grace of Figure Group.

Through a collaborative co-design process, the new space tells the narrative of the land on which Te Tihi is built and reflects Aurecon’s commitment to Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Designed across two levels, Te Tihi serves as a hub for Aurecon employees, clients and visitors to come together and inspire, collaborate and be creative. It reflects the company’s hybrid and flexible work approach – where valuable time is spent in the office for new connections, collaboration and learning opportunities.

This project features our Kusabi tables, a minimalistic, large-format table perfect for coming together and collaborating in the workplace.

Crafted from solid timber, these tables beautifully complement the building’s timber framing and indoor greenery.

Sustainability was a key consideration for this project. In line with their preference for locally sourced products and furniture, Aspect collaborated with Critical Design, making the tabletops for our Agility tables from their 100% recycled plastic waste panels.
